Hi friends and family!
I am thrilled to be participating in the Sunshine Coast Marathon Festival - 11 August 2024 to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House, a cause very close to my heart. This cause holds a special place for me as my son overcame a challenging start in life, requiring brain surgery and a VP Shunt placement. Against all odds, Sonny has shown incredible resilience and progress, defying expectations and inspiring us every day.
Our journey with Sonny has been a testament to the power of hope, resilience, and the support of our community. Your donations will not only support families facing similar challenges but also contribute to the amazing work of the Ronald McDonald House in providing care and comfort during difficult times.
With your generosity, we can make a difference in the lives of families impacted by health issues, offering them hope and support during their toughest moments. Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland (RMHC SEQ) helps families stay together in the midst of physical, emotional and financial stress. Our Ronald McDonald Houses in Herston, South Brisbane and the Queensland Children’s Hospital, provide a homely and inviting place to stay for parents, guardians, carers and siblings while their child is undergoing treatment in a nearby hospital. Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, located in the Gold Coast University Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital, are welcoming spaces any family with a child going through treatment in these hospitals can take time out from the clinical environment of the wards, have a tea or coffee or find a quiet space for a much-needed nap.
